Donegal – Melmore Head
I went up to Melmore Head in Donegal with some friends on Good Friday as a research trip. I used to go there as a kid for holidays with my family. This is another place I started collecting and exploring. I look forward to returning and documenting/exploring this place again. The landscape is dramatic – rural, coastal and agricultural set beside the power if the Atlantic.
Material vessel experiments
Starting a new series exploring materials through vessel forms. The first uses iron filings the second is an iron wire frame wrapped in linen thread with salt crystals grown over it. Early days but interesting..

The warm, overcast weather continued with another grey day.

Overcast and foggy on the coastal path. The grass stood golden amid the grey.

Afternoon walk on the woods, Holywood Hills.
Catching a moment
On my home from the studio tonight just caught a moment as the low sun broke through the heavy rain clouds over Belfast Lough from my hometown of Holywood. Just looked magical – I may have got carried away..
