Yeah it’s all down to currents I think- some beaches are characterised by what washes up. On the North Antrim Coast I mainly found a lot of fishing line but not much else, it’s really an intriguing measure of a place.
I think we spoke briefly a couple or three years ago at Collect, your spoons touched something in my heart. I’m just completing a BA in art and design at Brighton uni and having spent a day with the wonderful Simone ten Hompel recently, spoons have become things that still resonate. Found some great and interesting twigs recently washed up on Hastings shoreline.
Ah yes- I was there in 2012 with the National Craft Gallery of Ireland, glad you liked my spoons! Simone has done a wonderful series on spoons- great you got to spend some time with her!
