New Directions in Contemporary Crafts

The next exhibition I will be involved in is New Directions in Contemporary Crafts at Mottisfont Abbey alongside makers such as Mary Butcher and Jane Adam. I am showing a set of utensils and, unusually, a pair of my drawings.

silversmith stuart cairns is exhibiting a group of his idiosyncratic spoons and ‘implements’, with hand-forged silver tool-heads attached to handles of twigs and found objects. these are complemented by his swift and eloquent drawings, rarely seen.
